The heart: a novel by Robert Russell, May 1849. Inscribed "To Robert Poynder with all its faults & imperfections Sept. 1864" and "Presented to me by Robt. Poynder. I.L. Russell 25 Oct 1910". Includes letter from Frederick Robertson of Brighton, 1854, regarding the story of a white woman who was supposed to be detained amongst the Aborigines of Gippsland in the 1840s.
